Letter from the President/CEO of Ritz Family Publishing, Inc. I, Michael W. Ritz, founder, was born in Saranac Lake, New York in 1947. I grew up in Old Forge, New York, a small summer and winter resort town. At a very young age, I found myself working for restaurants, motels, ski areas and golf courses working my way into management, and eventually ownership. As I became older, I worked from New York to Florida in the Hospitality Industry. As fate would have it, in the Mid-1970's, I found myself in the Rocky Mountain Region as a manager at the Four Seasons Motor Inn in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In 1976, I went to work for Red Lion Motor Inns in California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. In 1982, Red Lion Inns moved my family and myself from Seattle, Washington to Boise, Idaho. In 1990, I became sales manager for a western agricultural publication and found a second love, the Agricutural Industry. (The dream hit home). I could create not only an affordable, but quality magazine for both industries. The American Dream Lives on. I have lectured at various universities including Humbolt State University, Shasta College in Northern California, and Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. In addition, I was offered a seat on the Advisory Board at Lake Washington Institute in Seattle, Washington. I wish to extend a special thank you to my lovely wife of 30+ years, Sharon and my entire family John and Jackie Ritz and Mike and Helen Ciko. Your love and support will never be forgotten. FAMILY IS EVERYTHING! Sincerely, |
Ritz
