Our Mission
IDAHOANS ON LOAN TO THE WORLD….. a catch phrase to
describe a 20 year quest to introduce the Greats of Idaho’s Past
and Present to the greatest resource Idaho has to offer ......its youth!!
The Idaho Hall Fame is a non-profit organization. It maintains a 501c3
status which allows contributions to be tax deductible. The organization’s
main goal over the last 20 years has been to search out those men and
women of Idaho that have made an impact on their communities, their state,
the nation and in many cases, the World.
From 1995 through 2002 there have been eight Induction Ceremonies held
in different cities around the State. Almost 100 individuals to date have
been honored. Men and woman from all walks of life ……. Musicians,
Businessmen, Entertainers, Educators, Authors, Artists, Farmers/Ranchers,
Clergymen, Statesmen, Diplomats, who have climbed to great heights, some
from very humble beginnings with pages of life experience to inspire our
up and coming generations. Along with this prestigious group many Idaho
Businesses and Organizations have also been recognized for their contributions.
From 2003 until May of 2006 the Idaho Hall of Fame Organization has been
on hold. In May a renewed interest occurred and the spark of enthusiasm
has been rekindled.
A new Board of Directors has been formed and new goals have been set.
Over the next few years the intention of the new Board is to first and
foremost focus on the selection of new Idaho Hall of Fame Inductees.
One of our newest endeavors will involve the combined efforts of our Education
Community and the Idaho Hall of Fame Inductees. The idea is to establish
a program that will enable our Inductees to share with students around
the State, their life experiences……. to pass on to them the
importance of hard work and the determination to succeed no matter the
odds. We feel that the concept of mentors and real life heroes has been
lost and with this combined effort our goal will be to reestablish this
link.
A plan is also underway to set up scholarships for Senior Students…………..and
recognize them as future Inductees in the Hall of Fame.
Funds permitting, another goal is to establish a permanent office in the
Boise area with a staff dedicated to the growth of the organization.
And finally to build a Website which will open and encourage communication
with all of our loyal supporters and future members around the World to
keep you apprised of our progress.
